Acute mental health care of older adults, dementia, & challenging behaviours.
I am a highly skilled and knowledgeable healthcare professional with a diverse background in nursing, clinical care and healthcare law. I currently work hands on as a staff nurse on the front line. I work in a mental health hospital on the following wards, Older Adults Acute Admissions, Dementia and cognitive impairment, Adult Acute Admission and Intensive Psychiatry Care unit. I also work in a Care Home. The flexibility of bank work enables me to work and retain knowledge and expertise in various settings with different patient groups. My experience in management allows me to exercise leadership at the point of care.
I possess a Master's degree in Health Care Law and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, complemented by specialised training in mental health nursing. I can offer a comprehensive understanding of healthcare practices and regulations. This is with extensive experience in patient care, risk assessment, and management.
My roles have ranged from Staff Nurse to Ward Manager, involving high-quality patient care, regulatory adherence and clinical practice advocacy. Each position has allowed me to apply my clinical knowledge, conduct audits and manage incident investigations within care settings.
