MSc Physician Associate , MSc Physiotherapy Advanced Practice , Bachelors in Physiotherapy
I qualified as a physiotherapist in 2006 and have a wealth of experience working with clients with complex neurological, musculoskeletal, and mental health conditions across England and Scotland.
I work as a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist across private practices in the UK dealing with neurological rehabilitation, covering both adult and paediatric age groups. I have special interest in spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries, complex orthopaedic problems and developmental issues in the paediatric population. I have successfully managed highly challenging clients and family dynamics across both the adults and the paediatric population following a catastrophic injury.
I also work as a Case Manager and have extensive experience in negotiating, implementing and evaluating goal directed, client focused rehabilitation programmes, and link this with the management and co-ordination of statutory and private care and/or therapy services. As a case manager, I support clients in their rehabilitation, including the management of high specification prosthetic and orthotic needs, alongside supporting clients with their post traumatic symptoms.
I am also an experienced Expert Witness with an in-depth knowledge of the litigation process in both England and Scotland, and regularly provide reports on complex medico-legal cases, which involves utilising the latest clinical evidence to support my clinical reasoning.
I accept instructions from both claimant and defendant solicitors and insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to expert witnesses.
