DipCOT, BSc (Hons) Health & Social Care
I qualified as an occupational therapist in 1982 and I have also completed a BSc (Hons degree) in Health and Social Care. I have over 25 years experience as an occupational therapist, specialising in treating patients with neurological and degenerative conditions, and have worked within the NHS and Social Services.
I joined Anglia Case Management Ltd in 2014 as a case manager and my role has been to provide bespoke case management for adults with brain injuries and other complex disabilities who require care, support and rehabilitation. I work with clients both pre and post settlement of personal injury and medical negligence awards. I have supported a varied case load of clients including those with cerebral palsy, brain injury and associated complex orthopaedic injuries, as well as those with challenging behaviours and cognitive deficits. I have extensive experience co-ordinating multidisciplinary teams, and in the recruitment and line management of support worker teams, including 24/7 teams of staff.
I regularly provide expert witness reports for litigation purposes on the care, case management, therapy and equipment needs of adults who have sustained catastrophic injuries, traumatic brain injury, associated orthopaedic injuries and other complex conditions.
I accept instruction from both claimant and defendant solicitors and insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under Civil procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to expert witnesses.
