Introduction

I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2013 and have specialised in adult social care, working with adults who have long term conditions or disabilities. My work has focused on promoting independence of people in their own homes by providing equipment, adaptations and care recommendations. I now work predominately as an independent occupational therapist. I am also a qualified manual handling trainer and work as a guest lecturer at the University of Plymouth. I have an MSc in Advanced Professional Practice and a Post Graduate level teaching qualification (PgCAP). I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

My role in adult social care and private practice has been extremely varied and I am confident and experienced in cases involving adults with a range of disabilities as a result of injury or long term conditions including but not exclusive to MS, Parkinson's, dementia, COPD, orthopaedic conditions such as arthritis and people who have experienced a stroke or life changing events resulting in reduced mobility, for example amputees and wheelchair users.

I accept instructions from both claimant and defendant solicitors and insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to expert witnesses.
