Introduction

I qualified with a Masters in Physiotherapy in 2007 and spent 12 years in the NHS. I specialised in paediatric physiotherapy early in my career (2010) and have extensive knowledge in cerebral palsy and child development.  In 2018, I set up ABC Physiotherapy which specialises in complex paediatric neurological cases covering a wide geographical area and in 2022 I created ABC Therapy Ltd to provide a more holistic approach and physiotherapy care to adults.

I am Bobath trained but use a combination of numerous therapy concepts including electrotherapy and hydrotherapy to ensure the clients reach their greatest potential. Research and development remain a key area of interest. I am proactive in seeking training and remaining at the leading edge of technology. I am an active member of the Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists and Aquatic Therapy Association of Chartered Physiotherapists attending regular training and seminars on a variety of conditions.

Furthermore, I am a member of the MLACP, The Medical Legal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists where I have trained in Medical Legal reports writing and Expert witness roles and responsibilities. Since 2019, I have worked closely with case managers, deputies and solicitors. I have provided detailed therapy assessments, identified appropriate equipment and  detailed break down of costs.

I enjoy working closely with families, multidisciplinary team members and legal teams where I understand the importance of building trust, joint decision making and open communication to ensure the best interest of each child is at the forefront of their therapy.

I accept instructions from both claimant and defendant solicitors and insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to expert witnesses.
