I qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1987 and throughout my career I have worked clinically within the NHS and in Private Healthcare settings enabling me to to maintain and develop my skills in the rapidly changing health care environment. I have combined the practical aspects of ward nursing with a number of leadership and managerial roles which have included the setting up and development of new hospital departments and positions as well as teaching and supervising new staff members and students.
In my current post as a Senior Staff Nurse, I care for a broad spectrum of surgical specialities including gynaecology, orthopaedics, E.N.T, urology, neurology as well as plastic and transgender reassignment surgery.
Having specialised in nursing within a surgical ward environment , I recently reduced my ward hours to enable me to focus on my role as a Clinical Nurse Specialist working for three Consultants in the field of subfertility.
I accept instruction from both claimant and defendant solicitors and insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under Civil procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to expert witnesses.
