I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1998. I have spent my career working in a variety of different settings and clinical specialities. I have worked in New Zealand and the UK in a hospital setting, out-patient and community environment. I have worked for the NHS, private hospitals, social enterprises and charities.

I have a broad based knowledge and experience in orthopaedics, palliative care, care of the elderly, amputees, manual handling, driving assessments, major adaptations, specialist equipment and setting up rehabilitation and care packages.

For the last seven years I have specialised in assessing and treating people with a neurological impairment in a community setting. I use a range of interventions, under pinned by relevant knowledge, experience and competence to enable my clients to fulfil their goals. I assess and treat upper limb deficits, cognitive deficits and visual impairment. I am a registered Saebo practitioner and Functional Electrical Stimulation practitioner.

I also specialise in vocational rehabilitation, assessing a client's current level of function and providing return to work programmes.

I currently work as a Director I Consultant Occupational Therapist for my own firm, Cusker Consultancy Ltd. I provide upper limb rehabilitation following neurological deficit, telephone diagnostic assessments, immediate needs and functional capacity evaluations. I specialise i n identifying the resources, time, cost and skill level required to establish rehabilitation and long term care packages.

I accept instructions from both Claimant and Defendant Solicitors and Insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to Expert Witnesses.
