I qualified as an Occupational Therapist having gained a BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy Degree in 2001. I have also completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Managing Health and Social Care and Civil Expert Certificate (Cardiff Law School).

Clinically I have worked in the areas of Acute Stroke Rehabilitation, Neurology, Oncology, Acute Medicine and Surgery, A&E, Orthopaedics, Rheumatology, Dementia Care and Care of the Elderly, Burns & Plastics, Community Learning Difficulties, Palliative Care, Respiratory and Cardiology Care and Forensic Psychiatry and Neuropsychiatry. My most recent occupational therapy post was in Essex offering Bank support in the A&E department in 2014.

I have expertise in Anxiety Management, Vocational Rehabilitation, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and have a sound understanding of Mental Health Acts and Law. I also have skills of splinting and have a wide knowledge base and extensive experience of equipment provision and major adaptations having previously worked for an insurance company both in a practical and counselling capacity.

I have worked in case management for over 10 years and have more recently have been a lead case manager in Bristol and managed a team of case managers. I currently offer case management services to children and adults having multiple diagnoses and disability, including Spinal Cord Injury, Acquired Brain Injury, life limiting injury and orthopedic injury.

Throughout my career I have developed my management skills and am experienced in managing service provision, supervision, audit, research and development, staff appraisal, recruitment & selection and student education. I am currently based in Wiltshire and have clients all over the UK. I hold a mixed client group including both Adults and Children with Acquired Brain Injury, Spinal Injury and Cerebral Palsy.

I am a specialist in assessing the needs and supporting both the dying and their family and have expertise in dealing with both crisis management and ongoing psychological support. This wide range of experience has ensured I am a very competent professional in both assessment and treatment of varying needs and am skilled in the role of case manager and occupational therapist.

I accept instruction from both claimant and defendant solicitors and insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under Civil procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to expert witnesses.
