Introduction

As a qualified Occupational Therapist since 2013, I have gained extensive experience in both NHS acute services and social services community care. My primary area of expertise lies in adult physical disability and care, including supporting individuals with multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, stroke, falls, and elderly care with a focus on frailty. I have developed significant expertise in working with older adults, particularly in managing conditions like dementia and Parkinson’s disease. I also have experience working with adults with, orthopaedic conditions, trauma and with general medicine and surgery conditions. I addition I have gained experience in conducting best Interest assessments and facilitating continuing health care funding.

I have consistently maintained and enhanced my professional knowledge by continuing to work within the community in Social Services, while also collaborating closely with health colleagues in the NHS. As a senior occupational therapist, my role involves assessing service users to identify their social care needs,and providing tailored person-centered solutions that promote their well-being and safety within the community.

A key aspect of my responsibilities includes conducting thorough risk assessments and producing detailed occupational therapy reports. These reports are often used to support service users in applications for housing or additional care and support funding. I am also committed to ongoing professional development, I regularly attend formal training to stay up to date with current policies, legislation, and best practices.

I accept instructions from both claimant and defendant solicitors and insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to expert witnesses.
