Introduction

I qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 2001 from Homerton College, Cambridge. My career has been marked by continuous professional development, earning a BSc in Professional Practice in 2013 (Greenwich University) and an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice in 2024 (Canterbury Christ Church University).

My primary specialisation lies in Emergency Nursing, where I have accumulated over 10 years of hands-on experience. I have spent significant time in high-pressure environments, including the resuscitation room, where critical decision-making and advanced clinical skills are paramount. This has given me a deep understanding of acute patient care, trauma management, and emergency protocols. Since 2019, I have worked as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, a role that has expanded my scope of practice to include advanced diagnostics, patient management, and autonomous decision-making. I continue to undertake nursing shifts to ensure my acute skills remain sharp and relevant, blending practical experience with advanced clinical knowledge.

To maintain the highest standards of practice, I actively engage in continuous professional development. This includes attending emergency medicine conferences, participating in journal clubs, and staying informed on the latest developments through podcasts and other educational resources.

I also am involved in repatriation nursing, which involves the safe and efficient transfer of patients across national or international borders while ensuring continuity of care. This includes comprehensive clinical assessments, continuous monitoring, and co-ordination with medical teams to manage patient needs during transport. The role requires expertise in critical care, risk assessment, and adherence to medico-legal and ethical guidelines to ensure patient safety.

I accept instructions from both claimant and defendant solicitors and insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to expert witnesses.
