Community Practitioner Nurse Prescribing, BSc Hons Specialist Community Public Health Nursing, Emergency
I qualified in 1989 as a registered nurse and have extensive experience in the delivery of safe, effective, high quality patient care across a range of healthcare sectors. I initially worked as a staff nurse on an orthopaedic trauma ward before specialising in Accident and Emergency nursing. Since 2002, after more than 10 years as a senior nursing sister and Emergency Nurse Practitioner, I have worked in NHS management and clinical service development. My management experience is in both acute and community services and across a range of NHS services, including prison healthcare.
I now work as an interim clinical manager, specialising in clinical governance, and operational management. Recent assignments include clinical operations manager for a Covid mass vaccination centre, Lead Nurse for a GP federation and Quality Assurance Officer for a digital healthcare company. I am currently working as a Senior Support Manager for the urgent treatment centre at Russells Hall Hospital.
My clinical role remains important and I regularly work as a Locum Emergency Nurse Practitioner.
I accept instructions from both Claimant and Defendant Solicitors and Insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to Expert Witnesses.
