Introduction

I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2016 and have since held positions across various mental health settings. I have specialised in the management of severe and enduring mental illnesses, including schizophrenia, complex emotional needs, mood disorders, PTSD, anxiety, depression and psychosis. I understand the interconnected nature of mental and physical health and have provided expertise to service users presenting with challenges such as complex pain, reduced mobility, and eating disorders.

I have extensive experience in forensic mental health, particularly working with offenders in medium-secure settings. This work enhanced my skills in risk management and the development of robust community adaptations and care arrangements to support safe discharge from secure environments.

In my current clinical practice, I focus on supporting individuals with severe and enduring mental health conditions living in the community. My role involves conducting comprehensive assessments of their mental and physical health needs and making tailored recommendations related to housing, environmental adaptations, additional support, sensory integration, care packages, and risk management strategies. I have a deep knowledge base in this area and work with a diverse client population across the county, addressing complex mental health conditions. I have a strong interest in sensory and motor processing and often support service users with learning disabilities, ADHD and dyspraxia using environment adjustments to better meet their needs.

I accept instructions from both claimant and defendant solicitors and insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to expert witnesses.
