Introduction

I qualified in 2007, I am an accomplished and passionate Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist. I am dedicated to improving clients' health, independence, and quality of life. I have gained extensive experience across a variety of clinical settings, encompassing both mental health and general physical health needs. I have worked in acute hospitals, inpatient and community rehabilitation, mental health settings, and several local authority teams. I have specialised in clinical areas including care of the elderly, general surgery, neurology and stroke rehabilitation, I have worked in accident and emergency, rapid response teams, community intermediate care, and social services. This breadth of experience has honed my proficiency in writing comprehensive clinical occupational therapy reports.

In my current role as a Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist, I work closely with clinical prescribers, suppliers, and manufacturers. I provide clinical advice on the procurement of equipment and deliver training to enhance clinical practice. To continue to enhance my clinical skills, I have worked as an associate with the OT Service since 2020. I work with individuals who have sustained injuries, chronic illnesses, mental health conditions such as post traumatic stress disorder, and those with housing needs. I am adept at using multiple sources of information to produce complex and comprehensive reports.

I excel in client-centred care, and adapt treatment plans to meet individual needs and goals. My strong clinical skills are complemented by my ability to foster collaborative relationships with clients, multidisciplinary teams, case managers, building surveyors, and other professionals. As a compassionate advocate for my clients, I am skilled in navigating complex social and healthcare systems and regulations to deliver optimal outcomes. I am unwavering in my commitment to professional development, and continually pursue advanced qualifications and engage in continuous learning to refine and enhance my expertise. 

I accept instructions from both claimant and defendant solicitors and insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to expert witnesses.
