Introduction

I qualified as a registered adult nurse in 2013. I worked in acute medical wards, intensive care and as a respiratory specialist nurse in the community before settling in unscheduled care and general practice as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. 

I have worked in my current role since 2018 and completed my non-medical prescribing qualification the same year. I work autonomously in my current role as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, regularly assessing and managing acutely unwell patients in a general practice environment, developing effective care plans to support their return to their baseline and avoid hospital admission. 

I have extensive experience of assessment diagnosis and management of patients presenting with acute illness, minor injury and complex ongoing health needs for any patient over the age of 1 years. I will continue to work in this role in order to maintain my acute management skills and ensure my clinical practice and experience remains both relevant and evidence based.

I accept instructions from both claimant and defendant solicitors and insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to expert witnesses.
