MSc Occupational Health and Safety Management, BSc Nursing Sciences
Having qualified in 1999, I am a confident Specialist Nurse with significant experience in Occupational Health (OH) nursing and hold an MSc in Occupational Health and Safety Management gained at Brunel University.
I am currently a self-employed OH Nurse Adviser with experience of managing teams of OH advisers and providing specialist OH consultancy, and services to a range of workplace settings. My work incorporates both the private and public sectors including the NHS, private health, fire, police, prison and ambulance services, universities and colleges, in addition to manufacturing, construction & demolition, transport, energy and across the service sector.
I am well versed in:
The Clinical aspects of my role require me to undertake face to face and telephone assessments, provide recommendations regarding fitness to work and advise on return to work in detailed reports. I also liaise with other health professionals as required and provide health screening and administer immunisations.
Being self employed, I am used to presenting to potential clients and my work frequently involves being challenged by employees and their employers.
I accept instruction from both claimant and defendant solicitors and insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under Civil procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to expert witnesses.
