Introduction

Since 2003, I have held the position of mental health dietetic lead for mental health and eating disorders in Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (UHB). I am a member of the All Wales CAMHS and Adult subgroup, which report to the Welsh Assembly Government. I represent dietetics in Wales in a number of forums. I am the lead for record keeping within dietetics in the UHB.

I also work on a freelance sessional basis with the Cardiff Student Support Centre and counselling services at the University of Wales in Cardiff. Here, I undertake clinical specialist dietetic input for students and staff presenting with eating disorders and other nutrition-related conditions. At Cardiff Metropolitan University, I am a guest lecturer presenting in the areas of mental health and eating disorders to Undergraduate and Postgraduate Dietetic students.

I provide specialist dietetic input to Orbis Education and Care service since 2012. This is a private education and residential service for adults and children on the Autistic Spectrum with complex health and behavioural issues.

I provide specialist supervision to junior dietitians.

Additionally, I undertake general freelance dietetic work on a consultancy basis.

I accept instructions from both claimant and defendant solicitors and Insurers. I have undergone training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to Expert Witnesses.
