Professional Experience
I qualified as a Prosthetist/Orthotist from Salford University in 2010 and have specialised in prosthetics throughout my career. I continue to develop my practice through clinical work at Dorset Orthopaedics private clinic in Egham. My patient caseload is diverse, spanning all age groups, including children, and has enabled me to refine my expertise across both upper and lower limb prosthetic design.
I have extensive experience managing clients with direct skeletal fixation through osseointegration and I am a leading practitioner in multiple implant systems, including the percutaneous screw fit OPRA implants from Integrum (Sweden), the press-fit OPL system developed by Professor Dr. Munjed Al Muderis (Australia, Radboud UMC in Holland), and the iTap system designed by Stanmore Implants (UK). In addition, I have knowledge and practical experience working with clients who have undergone targeted muscle reinnervation surgery (TMR), enabling maximised functional outcomes in higher-level upper limb prosthetics for clients with forequarter, shoulder disarticulation, and trans-humeral amputations combined with osseointegration.
During my time at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Roehampton, I independently managed the upper limb service, supporting a caseload of more than 600 clients, including those requiring high-definition silicone prostheses. My expertise also extends to designing complex and bespoke prostheses for rare cases such as multiple limb loss, hip disarticulation, Van Ness rotationplasty, and partial hand presentations. Furthermore, I have significant experience in fitting and managing clients with advanced technologies, including microprocessor-controlled knees and feet, as well as supporting para-athletes with prosthetic solutions for activities such as weight training, swimming, cycling, and running.
Professional Development
I maintain my professional development and HCPC standards by attending relevant training.
Medico Legal Experience
I accept instruction from both claimant and defendant solicitors and insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to expert witnesses.
