Professional Experience

I have worked as a paramedic since 2014, responding to emergency calls on ambulances and solo response vehicles. In addition to frontline work, I also operate remotely from the Emergency Operations Centre, conducting telephone consultations for both 111 and 999 calls. This dual role has enhanced my ability to assess and manage patients across a variety of urgent and emergency presentations, both in-person and remotely.

Since 2020, I have also worked in primary care, providing direct patient care in both town-centre and semi-rural settings. In my current role as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (Paramedic), I manage same-day urgent presentations, prescribe independently, and oversee a team of paramedics. A significant portion of my workload involves the assessment and management of acutely unwell patients, requiring rapid clinical decision-making and coordination of care.

Professional Development

My clinical practice is supported by formal academic training and continuous professional development. I completed a Diploma in Primary and Urgent Care in 2018, enabling me to work as a paramedic practitioner with enhanced assessment and management capabilities. I have since completed an MSc in Healthcare Practice (Advanced Practice) in 2024, alongside the NHS England Advancing Practice e-portfolio and Non-Medical Prescribing qualifications. These have consolidated my ability to practise autonomously across a wide range of clinical presentations. I remain actively involved in both remote and face-to-face care delivery, ensuring my skills remain current and aligned with national standards.
