Professional Experience
Since qualifying as a paramedic in 2013, I have gained extensive clinical experience across urgent, acute, and pre-hospital settings. I currently hold the position of Consultant Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) within an NHS Trust, where I lead a multidisciplinary team comprising operating department practitioners, nurses, paramedics, and pharmacists. My role includes strategic, managerial, and clinical leadership, with a strong emphasis on direct patient care.
I work autonomously at Middle Grade (Registrar level) across acute medicine, resuscitation, sepsis management, emergency departments (including resuscitation rooms), urgent treatment centres, minor injury and illness units, and same-day emergency care. I also undertake locum work, including GP sessions, home visits, and SpR cover on acute medical wards.
Additionally, I provide bespoke medical concierge services to the TV and film industry and high-profile individuals, and I carry out international medical repatriation, requiring clinical oversight and risk management during patient transfers.
Professional Development
Holding two master’s degrees—an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice and an MSc in Psychology with a focus on body language and behaviour—alongside an independent and supplementary prescribing qualification, I bring substantial post-registration experience. Contributions to clinical textbooks span key areas of advanced practice, including physical assessment, history taking, clinical decision-making, and acute and emergency care. In an academic role at the University of Lincoln, I deliver advanced theoretical and practical teaching in pathophysiology, assessment, and diagnosis to ACP students. These combined clinical and academic responsibilities ensure ongoing alignment with current best practice, policy, and clinical standards across diverse care settings.
Medico Legal Experience
I accept instructions from both claimant and defendant solicitors and insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to expert witnesses.
