Professional Experience
I am a qualified Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Director of a private medical aesthetics clinic. I have been practising in the field of medical aesthetics since 2007, following a career in general nursing and surgical training. I regularly administer a wide range of treatments including botulinum toxin injections, dermal fillers, skin boosters, plasma BT (Fibroblast), medical-grade skincare, chemical peels, LED therapy, microneedling (SkinPen), and hydrafacials. My clinical practice includes injectable procedures with a strong emphasis on complication management, patient safety, and detailed documentation.
I qualified as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in 1996, earning a BA from Oxford Brookes University and the John Radcliffe School of Nursing. My early career included roles in general medical and surgical wards and private outpatient departments in London. I later worked as a Clinical Trainer in robotic surgery, specialising in the daVinci surgical system, both in the UK and the United States. Prior to establishing my clinic, I worked with leading professionals in the field, including Professor Bob Khanna, Mauricio DeMaio, and Mr. Taimur Shoaib. I held clinical roles at Beyond MediSpa (Harvey Nichols, Edinburgh) and The Private Clinic of Harley Street, and served as a trainer for a dermal filler manufacturer and tutor for nurses entering the aesthetics field.
Professional Development
I completed my aesthetic training alongside Independent Nurse Prescriber training, both to master’s level. I currently hold the appointed role of Regional Leader for East Scotland with the British Association of Medical Aesthetic Nurses (BAMAN), recognised for my expertise and contribution to the profession. My clinic has been a finalist three times and twice highly commended at the UK Medical Aesthetic Awards for Best Clinic in Scotland. I maintain a strong focus on clinical governance, anatomy-based treatment planning, and evidence-based practice. My leadership role includes mentoring, professional development, and promoting standards across the region.
Medico Legal Experience
I accept instructions from both claimant and defendant solicitors and insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to expert witnesses.
