Professional Experience

I am an Advanced Nurse Practitioner with over ten years of clinical experience in general practice, specialising in the assessment and management of both acute presentations and chronic disease. My role involves autonomous clinical decision-making, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and prescribing. I routinely manage urgent cases as the on-call clinician, triaging patients efficiently and handling complex clinical scenarios with confidence. I also perform minor surgical procedures and joint injections, expanding the scope of treatment available within the practice and improving patient access to care.

My earlier roles include working as a Community Matron and Respiratory Nurse Specialist, where I provided advanced care for patients with long-term conditions, often in their homes, to reduce hospital admissions. I also have a background in emergency care, having worked as an Accident & Emergency staff nurse. This experience has equipped me with a strong foundation in urgent care and the ability to manage undifferentiated presentations under pressure.
