Professional Experience

I am a dual registered nurse and midwife with 18 years frontline experience across emergency, medical, surgical, perioperative, high-dependency and maternity services. I am skilled in assessing and managing acutely unwell patients, recognising deterioration and delivering high-acuity care such as accident and emergency, trauma and resuscitation, perioperative services as a scrub nurse, diabetic care, surgical wards wide range, medical wards and full range of antenatal, triage, intrapartum and postnatal midwifery care. My current clinical practice spans both nursing and midwifery, ensuring contemporary and evidence-based knowledge of standards, guidelines and operational realities across NHS and private sector settings.

I work in the NHS and private hospitals managing patients with acute and chronic conditions including emergency care, diabetes and related complications, respiratory conditions, gastrointestinal, hepatic, cardiovascular and infectious diseases. I also work in surgical wards conducting preoperative and post-operative care for various surgeries including health promotion. I am experienced in intraoperative care as a scrub nurse and ensure the adherence to surgical care standards in the operating room. I have clinical expertise in wound care, perioperative services, medical and surgical wards, immunisation services and full scope antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal midwifery care. I rotate among the various units to keep and maintain my skills up to date with current clinical practice, evidence-based professional standards, national guidance and operational realities.

Professional Development

Post graduation I have undertaken a Masters in Public Health and training specific to Immunisations. I maintain my professional development and NMC standards by attending relevant training.
