Professional Experience

I am a senior Emergency Department nurse with extensive experience in acute and emergency care. My clinical expertise includes advanced assessment, triage, and management of critical conditions such as sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), and hyperkalemia. I am proficient in wound care, venepuncture, cannulation, catheter insertion, and the administration of intravenous medications and fluids, ensuring accurate dosage and monitoring for adverse reactions. I maintain meticulous patient records and adhere strictly to clinical protocols.

In addition to my ED role, I provide nursing care within Police Custody Suites, where I manage acute presentations, minor illnesses, and musculoskeletal injuries including fractures, sprains, and soft tissue trauma. I am experienced in patient education and the delivery of care in complex and high-pressure environments.

My leadership experience includes serving as a Band 7 Senior Night Sister, overseeing hospital operations out of hours and supporting emergency departments. I have also held a Band 8A Matron position in Gynaecology, where I managed departmental operations and led initiatives to develop nurse-led services in women’s health. My background also includes work in Intensive Care Units, where I gained specialist skills in ventilation, hemofiltration, cardioversion, and advanced life support.

Professional Development

Throughout my career, I have consistently pursued opportunities to expand my clinical and managerial competencies. I have undertaken formal training in advanced life support, critical care procedures, and leadership in acute settings.

I have championed service improvements and quality assurance initiatives, particularly in women’s health and emergency care. I maintain my professional development by attending relevant training.

Medico Legal Experience

I accept instructions from both claimant and defendant solicitors and insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to expert witnesses.
