Professional Experience

Since qualifying as a Registered Adult Nurse in 2000, I have built a career at the intersection of clinical excellence and education. I am an experienced Nurse Practitioner and Independent Nurse Prescriber. My clinical background spans both NHS and commercial sectors, with particular expertise in General Practice, and out-of-hours GP services. I currently work as a long-term locum Nurse Practitioner for multiple clients, providing consistent clinical support and supervision to colleagues, including ANP trainees, medical students, and junior doctors.

My clinical interests include musculoskeletal assessment and management—especially sports injuries—alongside respiratory and metabolic disorders. I also have extensive experience in mental health care, which informs both my clinical practice and my approach to training.

Professional Development

I am committed to continuous professional growth and have actively pursued further education to enhance my clinical and interpersonal skills. Since 2020, I have been studying integrative counselling to deepen my understanding of communication dynamics and improve mental health support during consultations. This training has directly influenced my clinical style and the educational content I deliver.

As a clinical trainer, I work with a specialist training provider to design and deliver courses for healthcare professionals. I regularly update and adapt course content to reflect current best practices and emerging clinical needs. My dual role as clinician and educator allows me to bridge theory and practice effectively, ensuring relevance and applicability in real-world settings.
