Professional Experience

I qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2009 and have gained extensive clinical experience across primary, acute, and emergency care. I currently work as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) in a large, high-demand GP practice, where I independently assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients of all ages with undifferentiated medical conditions. My role includes prescribing, ordering and interpreting diagnostic investigations (including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and echocardiography), and making specialist referrals where appropriate. I regularly lead the “on-call” clinical service, providing oversight and decision-making support to both clinical and administrative teams.
My background includes senior nursing roles in Emergency Medicine, Minor Injuries, and Out-of-Hours Hospital Care. I have also worked across Emergency and Primary Care settings, bringing a broad clinical perspective to my current role. I provide clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team, including practice and community nurses. I am the clinical lead for learning disabilities within my practice, responsible for annual health checks, complex medication reviews, and safeguarding assessments. My clinical expertise spans acute and primary care, including acute illness, chronic disease management, minor injuries, dermatology, diagnostics and prescribing.
I run a nurse-led minor surgery clinic, performing skin lesion assessments and excisions (e.g. cysts, moles, benign lesions), and administer corticosteroid injections for musculoskeletal conditions. I also support local care homes with acute illness management, chronic disease reviews, and end-of-life care planning, including DNACPR and Ceiling of Care decisions.

Professional Development

I hold a Bachelor of Nursing (Hons) and a Master of Science in Advanced Clinical Practice from the University of Liverpool. I maintain a strong commitment to continuing professional development and clinical governance.

In 2025, I was awarded the title of Queen’s Nurse by the Queen’s Nursing Institute, recognising my leadership and commitment to improving community care. I am also a part-time lecturer at the University of Salford, teaching Adult Nursing and Advanced Clinical Practice. I am a member of the British Dermatological Nursing Group and have published in peer-reviewed journals including Nursing Standard and the Journal of General Practice Nursing.

Medico Legal Experience

I accept instructions from both claimant and defendant solicitors and insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to expert witnesses.
