Professional Experience

I am a highly experienced Occupational Therapist specialising in brain injury and neurological conditions, with a number of years of clinical practice across both the NHS and private sectors. Since beginning my Occupational Therapy (OT) career in 2011, I have developed the expertise to manage complex cases independently, working with a diverse range of individuals across both community and hospital settings. My clinical experience encompasses a specific emphasis on individuals impacted by traumatic and acquired brain injuries, cognitive impairments, and neurological decline associated with ageing.

My current role is within a private acute neurorehabilitation service, where I assess and treat clients presenting with a range of complex neurological conditions. Prior to this, I worked within a specialist brain injury unit, where I undertook comprehensive functional assessments to evaluate the long-term implications of head injuries. This included detailed evaluations of care needs, equipment requirements, housing suitability, and overall impact on daily functioning and quality of life. I have extensive experience working with individuals who present with diverse and often profound cognitive, physical, and psychosocial needs. I apply both standardised and non-standardised assessments to inform, evidence-based recommendations. My work addresses all domains of occupational performance, including environmental adaptations, rehabilitation planning, and long-term care strategies.
