Professional Experience
I qualified as a Registered Adult Nurse in 2013 and developed a broad clinical portfolio across acute medical wards, intensive care, and community respiratory care.
Since 2018, I have worked as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) in general practice, where I operate autonomously. My role involves the assessment and management of acutely unwell patients, including those presenting with minor injuries, acute illness, and complex ongoing health needs. I provide care for patients aged one year and above, formulating and implementing treatment plans aimed at restoring health and preventing hospital admission. My clinical decision-making is evidence-based and focused on safe, effective outcomes. I continue to work in this capacity to maintain my acute care skills and ensure my practice remains current and clinically relevant. In 2018, I completed my Non-Medical Prescribing qualification, which enables me to independently prescribe within my scope of practice. This has significantly enhanced my ability to deliver timely and comprehensive care.
Professional Development
My career has been underpinned by continuous professional development, including advanced training in clinical assessment, diagnostics, and management of both acute and chronic conditions. I regularly engage with current clinical guidelines and best practice standards to ensure my approach remains aligned with national frameworks.
Medico Legal Experience
I accept instructions from both claimant and defendant solicitors and insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to expert witnesses.
