Professional Experience

I am a Registered Nurse and Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP). Since qualifying in 2003, I have accumulated over 20 years of clinical experience in emergency care, general practice, and community health. I have worked in high-pressure environments, including accident and emergency departments, urgent care centres, and GP practices.

Since 2015, I have worked as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) in various settings, such as GP practices, urgent care centres, walk-in clinics, and out-of-hours services. In these roles, I have provided autonomous assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.

My background includes leadership roles in school nursing, where I managed services across multiple schools, including pupil referral units, supporting children with complex health and safeguarding needs. I have also worked in sexual health and youth outreach, delivering targeted clinical interventions and coordinating care for vulnerable populations, including homeless young people.

I have experience in service development, team management, and cross-sector collaboration, working alongside NHS trusts, local authorities, and voluntary organisations. My approach is evidence-based and outcome-focused, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding, risk management, and professional accountability.

Professional Development

I hold a Specialist Community Public Health Nursing qualification from King’s College London, which I completed in 2008. In 2015, I earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Nursing Practice, followed by a Master’s degree in 2018. My education has provided me with advanced clinical decision-making skills, leadership abilities, and a strong foundation in evidence-based practice.

Throughout my career, I have prioritised continuous professional development through clinical placements, postgraduate education, and leadership roles. I have experience managing nursing teams, mentoring junior staff, and implementing service improvements in both NHS and third-sector settings.
