Professional Experience

Since qualifying as an Occupational Therapist in 2012, I have built a comprehensive and robust clinical skill set across diverse acute and rehabilitation settings. My early career in a teaching hospital in Nigeria exposed me to a wide range of conditions, including neurological disorders, trauma and orthopaedics, medical, mental health, and paediatrics.

After relocating to the UK, I undertook a rotational role within an acute NHS trust, gaining extensive experience in rapid discharge planning across A&E, medical wards, orthopaedics, surgical units, and neuro/stroke rehabilitation. Progressing to a senior role, I managed complex caseloads on respiratory and general medical wards, and provided cover on the acute oncology ward, deepening my clinical and leadership skills. My growing interest in oncology led to my appointment as a specialist Occupational Therapist in this field, where I continue to support respiratory, medical, and geriatric wards. Supported by a postgraduate certificate in cancer care, I have acquired advanced knowledge and expertise essential for clinical specialist practice.

I am highly skilled in delivering holistic, evidence-based care to patients with complex needs, including multimorbidity, cognitive impairment, and life-limiting conditions. I am committed to patient-centred practice, safety, and facilitating timely discharge, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to optimise outcomes. This breadth of experience, combined with my specialist qualifications and ongoing professional development, equips me with the confidence and competence to take full clinical responsibility, working with palliative/ oncology patients, as well as general medical and respiratory patients.

Professional Development

I maintain my professional development and HCPC standards by attending relevant training.

Medico Legal Experience

I accept instructions from both claimant and defendant solicitors and insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to expert witnesses.
