Somek & Associates Support Frenkel Topping Foundation with Year of Fundraising

Somek and Associates, part of the Frenkel Topping Group, has proudly led a year of impactful fundraising in support of the Frenkel Topping Charitable Foundation. Established in 2015, the Foundation provides essential financial support to individuals and families who have suffered life-changing injuries and are unable to access traditional funding.

The Foundation’s work focuses on helping those affected by catastrophic injuries such as brain and spinal trauma — conditions that often require specialist care and result in an inability to work, placing immense financial strain on families.

Over the past year, Somek and Associates has hosted a series of creative and engaging fundraising events, including:

Somek Sports Day (20th August): Teams from across the organisation competed in sporting activities, this included: Welly throwing, Corn Hole, Egg and Spoon Race, Relay race and tower building, each team also had to come up with their own fundraiser(s) to see who could raise the most money for the foundation, and this would contribute to the overall result of the day, so certainly for some of our members of staff added that competitive element. The entire team also branded their teams with team names and logos, because there was points awarded for this too.

Overall, this fundraiser was a massive success, raising well over £500 for the foundation, and is certainly one in 2026 we will visit again, as it was a success not only from the donations point of view but with fellow staff members.

Bring Your Dog to Work Day (20th June): Staff were joined by their furry companions for a day that boosted morale and supported mental health in the workplace, while also raising awareness and donations for the Foundation. This day was a real treat for our members of staff as they got to meet some of their colleagues furry companions. Jack Fowler had this to say about the day ‘It was an absolute pleasure to bring my Goldendoodle Sky into the office with me, she loved saying hi to everyone in the upstairs office, and was very good and certainly boosted morale for the entire office’.

This day was another success, and sometime later this year or next year, we plan to add a charity dog walk, in order to raise more money for the foundation. Somek can’t wait to meet more of the staffs dogs when this event takes place soon.

Pyjama Day (7th May): Employees swapped formal wear for pyjamas in a light-hearted fundraiser that encouraged donations and brought smiles to the office.

These events have not only raised vital funds but also strengthened the company’s culture of compassion and community. It’s a fantastic way to support the Frenkel Topping Charitable Foundation — and you can get involved too. Every donation helps make a real difference in the lives of those facing unimaginable challenges.

As the year draws to a close, Somek and Associates remains committed to continuing its support for the Foundation, with plans already underway for future fundraising initiatives.
