1997
A specialist start
Founded by Alison Somek, the company launched with two occupational therapists, offering a new level of clarity and clinical insight to litigation.
2000s
Building a trusted reputation
In 2001, Jessica Thurston joined Alison as an expert witness, strengthening our core team and expanding into a broader range of allied health areas.
2010s
A wider reach, a stronger voice
Our network of experts continued to grow. In 2010, Jessica Thurston became Head of Medico-Legal Operations, helping to strengthen and shape our services as we continued to expand.
2020s

Today
A new chapter, the same vision
In 2022, Somek & Associates became part of Frenkel Topping Group, creating new opportunities to expand our expertise and deepen our impact across the medico-legal sector. In 2024, Alison Somek retired as Managing Director, handing over to Jessica Thurston. That same year, Elias Omar joined as Head of Medico-Legal Operations, bringing nearly 15 years of experience as a solicitor.
