Msc, PG Dip, BSc (Hons)
I qualified as an enrolled nurse in 1996 and converted to registered nurse in November 2001. Since qualifying I have worked in a few specialities including trauma orthopaedics, theatres and critical care, before commencing in Emergency Department in 1998. Since this time I have become proficient and competent in all areas of Emergency Care. In 2003 I qualified as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner and as a Non-Medical Prescriber in 2013.
In 2009 I took a year away from Emergency Nursing and was first Interim lead for an Infection control team for five months, a role which I learnt a great amount from and still have an interest in Infection Control. For the second half of the year I worked as a Senior Lecturer at a University a role, which thoroughly enjoyed and I hope in the near future to complete my Post Graduate Diploma in Education.
I accept instructions from both Claimant and Defendant Solicitors and Insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to expert witnesses.
