Introduction
I am a Registered Paediatric and Urology Nurse Specialist with many years of clinical experience. I am currently employed by, Central Manchester and Manchester Children’s University Hospitals NHS Trust. In July 1990 I established the Urology Nursing Service at the Manchester Children’s Hospitals, where I currently manage the urology nursing team.
I also undertake medico legal work for Somek & Associates. I accept instructions from both Claimant and Defendant Solicitors and Insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to Expert Witnesses.

2002 Invited guest, Princess Margaret Children’s Hospital, Perth, Western Australia.
1998 Invited guest, Bustamante Children’s Hospital, Jamaica, West Indies. This visit enabled networking with nurses developing a Paediatric Urology Nursing Service.
1997 Finalist in the Paediatric Nurse Awards, Urology Section.
1995 British Medical Association Film and Video Competition. Silver Award – "Just Like You" Video. This video has now been translated into several different languages.
1992 Churchill Travel Fellowship and Glendinning Award (Schneider Children’s Hospital, New York, USA).
