Introduction
I qualified as a Occupational Therapist in 1994 from Brunel University and have since worked in the field of physical disability, predominantly at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, Northwick Park Hospital and with Harrow Wheelchair Service and the Regional Electric Indoor / Outdoor Powered Wheelchair where I developed a special interest in postural deformity and mobility and I am currently in Independent Practice.
I am currently in Independent Practice seeing patients with a variety of physical conditions including spinal cord injuries, general orthopaedic conditions and medical and surgical conditions.
I joined Somek and Associates in 2003 as an Occupational Therapy expert, since when I have written many medico-legal reports following instructions from both Claimant and Defendant Solicitors and Insurers. I have undergone formal training in the medico-legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to Expert Witnesses.
